Forum 2010
New Realities in Mountain Travel
As an industry, our collective “new reality” is that last year wasn’t just a blip on the screen or a freak anomaly. A dramatic “sea change” has occurred, transforming the how, where, why, and way people travel. That seismic shift will have implications and ramifications for mountain destinations for the foreseeable future.
To better understand, embrace, and capitalize on these new realities, the MTS team has put together a one-two-three punch program for the 2010 Forum, featuring some of the most respected speakers in the travel industry. Their presentations will encompass a big picture perspective of the travel industry as well as drill down deeper to the crucial micro issues confronting destination mountain resorts in 2010—and beyond.
In short, the 2010 MTS Forum is going to work harder than ever to provide a crucial fact base from which the waning season can be assessed, and new strategies developed for 2010-11 and beyond. We intend to deliver more and better information, in a shorter and more targeted manner than can be found anywhere else, regardless of cost. And in so doing, position Forum attendees with a significant and strategic advantage in the process. Bold promise? Maybe so, but any less would fail to live up to the value that has made the Symposium the time-honored tradition that it is and simply the best use of your time and money as you close down 09/10 and start your 10/11.
We look forward to seeing you next April in Banff as we discover what is on the next horizon.
