MTS 2012 FORUM: Driving The Business of Mountain Travel
April 18-19, 2012
![]() |
The Opportunity: To join with fellow mountain travel professionals and colleagues this April, during the seasonal transition, to assess, learn, strategize and move forward. After reviewing the past season with its challenges and lessons learned, attention shifts to next season and the opportunity to use collective lessons and experiences as a springboard to focus on the strategies, tools and relationships for building a more successful season next year.
The Challenges: A volatile and competitive market where nothing can be taken for granted, rapidly changing technology, and ongoing digital evolutions in traditional distribution channels. And then there’s keeping up with the ever-changing consumer who is fickle, frugal and increasingly empowered and independent in what they want and how they shop for and buy vacation travel.
The Solution: A cohesive and collaborative effort by the destination mountain travel industry to increase destination mountain travel in North America. MTS Forum-37 starts with the most crucial issues for the industry and then builds a curriculum to address those issues. This year’s faculty is arguably one of the most seasoned and credible in MTS Forum history. The result will combine the collective experiences, know-how, relationships, tips, tools and tricks to help construct a business plan to achieve success for individual businesses and the entire mountain industry.
The Strategy: Taking a deep dive into two full days of educational and interactive learning. This year features six general presentations from top tier presenters; 12 small group “hands on” workshops, an Executive Summit and bonus workshops delivered by top industry leaders. In total, there are more than 30 hours of seminars and sessions, including the latest market data and a variety of case studies and best practices. The goal: fresh guidance and tools for “Driving the Business of Mountain Travel.”
