2012 EXECUTIVE SUMMIT: "WHAT REALLY MATTERS... THE ENCORE”

The Executive Summit is a special track of presentations and roundtable discussions within the Forum, intended for senior management (owners, corporate officers, senior management) of medium and large tourism dependent businesses. As conceived, the Executive Summit provides a unique opportunity for this small-but-influential group of persons/organizations who are in a position to influence the future of our industry. In 2012 they discussed “What Really Matters ... The Encore”. And attempted to set a common direction that will help to “move the needle” furthering the goals and best interests of the mountain vacation industry.

An overwhelming success in its inaugural meeting in 2011 at Beaver Creek, the Executive Summit returned for 2012, and included a one-day curriculum on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.  In addition to the Symposium General Sessions I and II, the Executive Summit included a series of short presentations by Symposium Faculty
and specially invited industry leaders, each tasked with presenting “What Really Matters… The Encore” to the long term viability of the destination mountain resort industry in North America.  The exciting presentations came from the perspective of each person, their organization and personal experience.   Because of its target audience, participatory format and limited seating, the Executive Summit is available by invitation only.  The summit is produced by the Mountain Travel Symposium and was made possible in 2012 by our hosting sponsors, including BCF, Resort Technology Partners, TripTV and MTS.
