Nicholas Herrin is the CEO – as of July 2016 -- of the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI), a preeminent education association dedicated to inspiring lifelong adventures through education. Drawn to the snowsports industry from the age of 14, Herrin taught skiing in Washington state and, later, in Montana, where his post-college career path led him into resort operations at Big Sky Resort.

Upon moving to Colorado in 2006, he served as the ski and ride school director at Telluride Ski Resort and then as the assistant general manager of Crested Butte Mountain Resort before taking his current role with Lakewood, Colorado-based PSIA-AASI. In addition to his resort management background, Herrin served three terms (2004-2016) as a member of the PSIA-AASI Team, a group of elite-level ski and snowboard instructors who help develop and promote PSIA-AASI’s student-centered teaching tenets and education materials.
