For the past 16 years, Philip Coppard has been the principal of Stormy Lake Consulting and leads the brand development practice at Stormy Lake. He will have overall project accountability. In what feels like a very long time ago, Philip earned a B. Comm. Honours (1987) with specializations in Marketing and Computer Science from Queen’s University. Philip has extensive brand develop experience across Western Canada for destinations such as Whistler, Banff & Lake Louise, Jasper, Richmond, Calgary and the Province of Alberta. Philip spent the first 15 years of his career at Ogilvy & Mather, a global communications agency, where he created a business-consulting unit rooted in the study of human behaviour. Prior to entering the communications industry, Philip spent three years as a tour guide, leading groups across Western Canada by rail, plane and motor coach. Philip is a strategist and he has developed a proprietary planning model that embeds the principles of design and change management into traditional strategic planning. Philip is a father, pizzaiolo, “award winning” bread baker and coffee fanatic.
