WELCOME RECEPTION

Rock a Canuck Tux

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15 | Roundhouse Lodge, top of Whistler Mountain - Gondola Upload Begins at 7:00pm

Time to dig through your closet — Whistler is throwing a Canadian Tuxedo party. But what is a Canadian tuxedo? It’s denim on denim, baby. Once a fashion “oops,” now a full-blown icon. Legend has it the name came from 1951, when Bing Crosby was denied entry to a Vancouver hotel for wearing head-to-toe denim. Levi’s clapped back by making him a custom denim tux jacket — and the rest is history.

Rock a matching set of denim or mix washes. Thrift it. Borrow it. Etsy it — anything goes. Add plaid, cowboy flair, or go après ski glam with some bedazzle. Extra points for sparkle. Prizes for best costume include the Bearfoot Bistro’s Grey Goose Ice Room
or champagne sabering and oysters. Expect live music by Famous Players, late-night snacks, complimentary wine & beer, and cash bar!

After party at the legendary Longhorn Saloon located steps from the Whistler Gondola.

MTS credentials must be worn for entrance to all functions. Gondolas to the Welcome Reception will begin at 7:00pm.

The Welcome Reception is hosted by Tourism Whistler, Whistler Blackcomb and our resort partners.
